**Summary:** The Jaguar I-Pace is my eighth electric vehicle, and undoubtedly the best. I have owned various electric cars starting with the Tesla Model S. Others included BMW i3, Citroen Zero, Tesla Model X, e-Golf, Tesla Roadster S, and Fisker Karma. EVs have reliably handled our family's transportation needs for school runs, city driving, hobbies, shopping, and trips to nearby communities. Long journeys have only been hindered by the inadequate charging infrastructure, particularly when traveling to Central or Eastern Finland.

Despite this, the Jaguar I-Pace has become a permanent part of our daily life. After a year of use, it remains reliable and has surprisingly become our most popular vehicle. The I-Pace is Jaguar's first all-electric car, and many significant automotive magazines consider it Jaguar's best and most successful model. Jaguar started the I-Pace design from scratch, resulting in unique proportions distinct from other models in their lineup.

The I-Pace handles well, even on icy and hilly roads, thanks to its all-wheel-drive system. Its electric motors provide 400 hp and 700 Nm of torque, achieving 0-100 km/h in under five seconds. The car is equipped with air suspension and adjustable shock absorbers, which smooth out bumps and rough roads. The steering is natural, and the overall driving experience is effortless.

However, the I-Pace does receive criticism for its power consumption and limited charging options. Charging from a standard socket takes nearly two days, from a 32-amp socket takes half a day, and at fast-charging stations, which are still rare in our country, takes one to two hours. On a full charge, the range can reach 470 km, but in colder weather, the range decreases significantly. For long trips, especially on highways, driving range remains a challenge for all electric vehicles.

Inside, the I-Pace's interiors feel more premium compared to Tesla's. The seats, controls, and displays are stylish and functional, with a quality finish characteristic of Jaguar. Although display responsiveness is not as fast as Tesla's, the system is one of the best. Only Audi e-Tron's system is considered more intuitive by some, though even it requires too much eye contact with the screen.

Many like the visual appeal of virtual displays, but personally, I find they don't add any new important features to the car's usability and make interior designs more similar across different brands. Previously, brands like Porsche, Mercedes, and Jaguar had unique interior designs.

Named Car of the Year, the Jaguar I-Pace is, in my opinion, the most balanced all-electric vehicle currently on the market. Its aspects are well-thought-out and executed with quality. As a used car, it's a safe and long-lasting investment, both financially and practically. Electric vehicles hold their value well, similar to gasoline counterparts. I believe the appeal of used electric vehicles will increase in the near future. In terms of usability, efficiency, space, and range, the I-Pace is well-suited as the sole car for a family. The only thing you might miss is the sound of a sporty engine, but Jaguar has cleverly addressed this by playing engine-like sounds through the speakers during full acceleration.
